‘The biggest thing that helps one’s songwriting is the urgency of having to finish a record, I’m not someone who writes a song a day, so I need that pressure. Also, I’ve gotten comfortable with the fact that not every song has to be a perfectly constructed pop song. Sometimes a song can just be some strange jam.
